Typiske for sydvest er store villaer med havudsigt eller nær golfbanen. Især i Puerto de Andratx finder du mange luksuriøse huse i spektakulære bjergskråninger og med fantastisk havudsigt.
I Camp de Mar, Santa Ponsa og Bendinat er der mange, delvist lukkede systemer med rækkehuse og villaer. Et hus i Mallorca med direkte adgang til en af de mange golfbaner er også en eftertragtet ejendom
Et landsbyhus i Andratx, S'Arraco, Capdella eller Calvia er dog den bedste base for faktisk at opleve atmosfæren i en lille mallorcanske landsby. Det typiske hus i en af de små mallorcanske landsbyer i baglandet på sydvestkysten er 2 til 3 etager og har balkoner ved siden af det ofte en gårdhave.
Det mallorcanske land eller bondegård betegnes ofte som en finca. Disse delvist meget gamle huse med store grunde er meget eftertragtede. Især når citrus træer eller endda oliventræer omgiver huset på landet, er Middelhavet drømmehjem perfekt.
