Exploring Sa Calobra

Sa Calobra is actually just a tiny village by the sea - but why does it deserve a whole blog article?

Sa Calobra stands for much more than just the village. The journey to this village is equally spectacular as the destination and there are several ways to get there: If you take the car, you can expect steep and narrow serpentines through the mountains, but you will be rewarded by the magnificent view of the open sea. If you take the racing bike, you are truly in good shape, because the mountains climb up to 700 metres in altitude. On the route you will come across many small and large natural wonders. If you want to avoid the winding roads, you can also take the ferry to Sa Calobra. The last option is to take one of the most demanding hiking trails in Mallorca, through the Torrent de Pareis. A gorge with cliffs as high as houses and difficult climbing passages, whose torrent, which does not constantly carry water, flows into the bay of Sa Calobra. Once you arrive to the bay, you finally reach your destination and the beauty of nature at this special delta into the Mediterranean opens up to you. Ultimately, you will understand why this bay and the way to get there are so popular- its simply breathtaking.
