Christmas in Mallorca away from the crowds

Do you already know the smaller Christmas markets on the island? We have a few tips for you.

Here in Mallorca, Christmas begins at the end of November with the switching on of the festive Christmas lights in Palma, and ends on the 6th of January, when the Spanish traditionally receive their presents, which are brought by the Three Wise Men. 

During this time, many smaller and larger Christmas markets take place in many places. 

Everyone knows the well-known Christmas markets in Palma's centre, Puerto Portals or the Pueblo Español. But have you ever been to one of the smaller markets, away from the big tourist crowds? 

Here is a brief overview:

Palma
- Rata Market Nadal on 10 + 11 December in the Palau de Congressos from 10.30-20.30 
- Mercat de Nadal d'es Pillari on 17 + 18 December from 10-19.30

Andratx
- Christmas Market on 3 December village square

Lluc
- Monasterio de Luc on the 3rd +4th December from 10am-6pm

Muro
- Mercat de Nadal on 10-11 December

Sineu
- Fira de Sant Tomas - Nadal & Sant Antoni on 11 December

Alaro
- Mercadet Nadal on 10 + 11 December from 10.30-21.30 & 10.30-17 hrs
