Sol de Mallorca - Collective letterboxes are finally in service
The large apartment complexes in Sol de Mallorca were not affected by the delivery stop, but the individual houses and villas in Sol de Mallorca and the other villages had no longer been served.
In early summer this year the owners of villas in Sol de Mallorca were able to collect their keys from the municipality in Calvià to be able to use their new mailboxes. In central position, at the beginning of the small dead end street, directly at the playground of Sol de Mallorca, the collective letter boxes were set up. There is also a mailbox there to send back misdirected mail directly, which unfortunately can almost always be found between your own mail.
Since parcels and registered mail are still delivered directly, it also happens every now and then to find a "normal" letter in the mailbox of your own house. It is therefore recommended to check both mailboxes every now and then.
Owners of properties in Sol de Mallorca can finally relax. From now on, there should be no more lost mail and the post box at the post office in Palmanova, which could be rented at your own expense, can now be cancelled. The owners of properties in Sa Porassa and Costa d'en Blanes as well as property owners in Bendinat and Costa de la Calma can now also finally use their collective letterboxes.
However, one may not think about which important letters could have got lost during the almost 2 years without reliable post delivery service. But look into the future ... the collective letter boxes are here now and are happily being used by the residents of Sol de Mallorca.
