Santa Maria is home to numerous wines that are known beyond the island. The area is dominated by the many almond trees, carob trees and vineyards. It is picturesquely situated in front of the Tramuntana mountains and its church can be seen from afar. Santa Maria is an ideal starting point for numerous excursions into the mountains.
Santa María del Camí, often simply called Santa María, has almost 7,000 inhabitants and has become one of the most sought-after villages in recent years, both by locals and foreigners. This is mainly due to its privileged location, as it is situated in the central part of the island, just 15 minutes from the airport and the city of Palma, as well as the beaches, and enjoys excellent accessibility. Santa María offers a wide range of services. In addition to the renowned international school "The Montessori School", there is also a public school. The leisure center "Mallorca Fashion Outlet" is only a few minutes away by car and offers many fashion stores, bars, restaurants, activities for the whole family and a large cinema.
