The historic town of Pollensa is located in the north of the island, at the eastern end of the Tramuntana and is home to the famous staircase that leads up 365 steps to the Calvari mountain.
The monastery complex of Sant Domingo is another historical attraction. Many hiking trails, roads and country lanes around Pollensa attract many nature lovers for hiking, walking and cycling, even in the cooler months. Surrounded by numerous beaches and coves, the area is a particularly attractive holiday destination. There is an 18-hole golf course on the outskirts of Pollensa. Not far away is Port de Pollensa, an old fishing village with preserved flair, an international marina and beautiful sandy beaches with crystal-clear water.
Pollenca and Alcudia are located in the north of Mallorca, just a few minutes' drive from each other and around 45 minutes' drive from Palma.
The historic old town of Alcudia with its fully preserved city wall is a magnet for young and old alike. The world-famous Alcanada golf course is located directly by the sea in the bay of Alcudia.
Cap de Formentor is the northern tip of Mallorca and a popular excursion destination.
