Two Nature Reserves
The natural park of S'Albufera in the bay of Alcúdia is the most important wetland area in the Balearic Islands. Four itineraries along flat paths will allow you to walk through the park in peace and quiet while you observe a very diverse flora and fauna: aquatic plants, fungi, fish, reptiles, mammals, invertebrates and birds. Here you can find more information, how to get there, what to see and the itineraries: https://en.balearsnatura.com/parque_natural/parc-natural-de-salbufera-de-mallorca/.
Reserva Park (formerly known as the Galatzó Reserve), in the heart of the Tramontana mountain range, is a great wildlife refuge. You can stroll through the forest, cool off in semi-natural pools and visit rescued animals such as a bear, ostriches and goats, among others. There is also a quaint bar and adventure activities for the more adventurous. Ticket prices: adults 17 €, children from 4 to 12 years 5 €, babies free: https://www.reservapark.net/.
Two Boat Trips
Two companies run excursions from Colònia de Sant Jordi to the island of Cabrera, which belongs to the archipelago of the same name. The national marine-terrestrial park is located ten kilometres from Mallorca. In this almost untouched enclave, you can enjoy, for example, various beaches and coves, a castle, a museum and the famous Blue Cave. Here you can buy tickets for boat trips: https://www.excursionsacabrera.es/en and https://www.marcabrera.com/en.
A park of great interest in the southwest of the island is Sa Dragonera, which is characterised by an important population of endemic lizards. In addition, the seabed surrounding the island is a great example of the underwater ecosystem of the Mediterranean Sea. From Sant Elm or Puerto de Andratx, you can reach this small island, which is only four kilometres long, in less than half an hour: https://crucerosmargarita.com/en/.
Three Water Parks
Just outside Magaluf, you will find Western Water Park. With a unique Wild West theme, the park offers an incredible selection of slides, including the highest water slide in Mallorca. There are several restaurants and bars, but you can also bring your own food and drink. Prices, opening times and more information: https://www.westernpark.com/en/.
In the southeast, you will also find a very nice water park. Aqualand in Arenal has many slides and a special area for children. Prices, opening times and more information: https://www.aqualand.es/elarenal/en/.
Hidropark is the only water park in the north of Mallorca. Perfect for families and small children, although it is not as big as the other two. Prices, opening times and more information: https://hidroparkalcudia.com/.
A Huge Aquarium
At Palma Aquarium you will find the largest shark tank in Europe. You will need about three hours to visit an aquarium designed as a journey through the seabed of the world. You can also dive with sharks, swim among rays, enjoy a 360º 3D film about whales, and much more. There is also an outdoor playground for the little ones and a recreation of a tropical jungle: https://palmaaquarium.com/en/.
Two Farms
Els Calderers is an 18th-century farm museum located in the centre of the island. You can walk through the interior of the house, where you will find the music room, the chapel, the kitchen, the reception room and the dining room; but you can also visit other rooms such as the blacksmith's workshop, the laundry and the stables. You can also book a tasting of typical local products: http://elscalderers.com/en.
In Campos, you will find a very special and different farm: Artestruz. In this little family corner, you can feed the ostriches, get to know the farm and visit the hatchlings. You can also cook your own giant ostrich egg or enjoy other dishes: https://www.artestruzmallorca.com/en/.
