Puerto Portals: Exclusivity and Luxury

Puerto Portals is a marina located in the vicinity of Portals Nous, belonging to the municipality of Calviá. About 10 km from the centre of the capital, Palma de Mallorca, Puerto Portals is extremely famous for being a meeting point for businessmen, celebrities, high society personalities and even members of the Spanish royal family.

Brief History

The port does not have a large history, as its creation dates back a few decades. Furthermore, although there were many investors who had full confidence in the project, raising the necessary financial resources for its inauguration, the success of the construction was questioned due to the great distance between Palma and Portals. However, finally, in 1986, the port became a reality.

Marina

The port has 650 moorings from 8 to 60 metres in length and a very unique space made up of restaurants, bars, boutiques, jewellers, estate agents, among others. The range of services offered by the marina is very extensive and complete: drinking water, showers, laundry, electricity, wifi, petrol station, 24-hour security, dry dock, workshop, etc. The mooring fees in summer range from €65 per day to € 1.445, depending on the size of the boat, and from € 28 to € 476 in winter.

There is also a sailing club and a nautical school that organises all kinds of water sports events. For example, at the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 the VII Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series will be held. On the other hand, the VII Mediterranean Cup will take place between 22-25 February 2024, where a large number of countries from all over the world will be represented by the best teams.

Blue Marina

Also, despite being a port where large luxury yachts moor, Puerto Portals has created a movement whose aim is to transform the relationship of human beings with the environment, as they assume the responsibility that comes with having a company that lives off the sea. The values they preach are dynamism, innovation, responsibility and generosity. They aim to reduce the impact that ports have on the oceans based on three fundamental pillars: cultural, technical and social.
