Detailed Information
Location
Sa Rapita
The small town of Sa Rapita in the southeast of Mallorca was long considered an insider's tip, as many Spanish people spend their weekends here or own a holiday property.
The village is located in an area with reduced traffic and many restaurants, cafés and small shops on the waterfront between the two marinas S'Estanyol and Son Duri. There are also many restaurants and cafés open all year round.
The airport can be reached by car in about 30 minutes.
In the south of Mallorca there are numerous bathing bays on the rugged coast, which invite you to swim, snorkel and sunbathe. Via a staircase you reach the bathing bay Cala Pi, which is located at the end of a fjord-like sea bay and is particularly picturesque.
With more than five kilometers of Es Trenc beach, Mallorca's longest natural beach is also located here. Pearly white sand glistens in the bright sunlight, and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean form a fascinating contrast. Neither hotels nor apartment complexes disturb the idyll in this natural paradise. The bathing beach Es Trenc is framed only by a flat dune landscape and light green pine groves.
About 17 km off the south coast of Majorca lies the archipelago of Cabrera in the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Excursion boats depart from the port of Colonia Sant Jordi and set course for the nature reserve. The archipelago is not populated and consists of 19 larger and smaller islands, but an information center provides information about the history of the islands, which were once home to a military camp.
