Detailed Information
Santa Maria del Cami is a typical Mallorcan village in the wide plain between Palma and the Tramuntana mountains. The bustling little village offers bars, restaurants and shops of all kinds as well as one of Mallorca's most famous weekly markets in the large market square. The successful Macia Batle winery is located on the outskirts of the village. Palma is only about 15 minutes away by car and the airport can be reached in about 20 minutes.
Strategically located at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana, Santa María del Camí stands out as one of the most sought-after towns in the Raiguer region. Its surrounding landscape is deeply shaped by a rich agricultural tradition, where historic vineyards and olive groves define the area’s identity. The town center preserves a valuable architectural heritage, crowned by the parish church of Santa María la Mayor, built in the 18th century.
In addition to its rich history, the town maintains a vibrant social and cultural scene year-round, driven by its renowned Sunday market, a diverse culinary scene featuring local and international restaurants, and key events such as the Fira del Vi, which showcases local wine production.
This combination of authenticity, excellent cycling routes through the vineyards, and a direct road connection to Palma makes the region an ideal location for both primary and second homes.
