Porreres is a quiet village in the heart of the island of Mallorca, located in the agricultural region of Es Pla. The first settlements in Porreres date back to the Bronze Age, later the village was occupied by the Romans and Moors. There are still several wells in the village from the time of the Arab occupation. The village was reconquered by the Christians in 1300 and named after the knight Guillermo de Porrer. If you travel through Mallorca and its typical villages, you will probably think that Porreres, or Porrreras, is just one of them. The stone buildings, hidden squares and winding streets have a rustic charm that is clearly visible. Walking along the recently pedestrianized Avinguda Bisbe Campins, you'll come across laid-back bars, quiet cafés, the town hall and the Gothic church of Nostra Senyora de la Consolació, where the locals meet.
Felanitx is a rural town and municipality in the southeast of Mallorca. The town is located around 50 kilometers from the island's capital Palma and forms the center of one of the largest wine-growing regions on the island. It is not far from Felanitx to the sea. The coastal areas of Portocolom and Cala D'Or can be reached by car in 15-20 minutes.
