Detailed Information
Bunyola is located in northwest Mallorca, at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains, just 14 km from Palma. Surrounded by olive groves, citrus trees, and almond orchards, it offers authentic village charm. The mountains rise steeply behind the village to over 1,100 m, attracting hikers and nature lovers. Nearby are the Salt des Freu waterfall and the Moorish Jardins d’Alfàbia. Despite its peaceful setting, Bunyola has cafés, shops, restaurants, and a station on the Palma–Sóller train line. Palma and the airport are reachable in 20–25 minutes by car – the perfect blend of rural tranquillity and urban access.
The center of Mallorca, known as the Pla de Mallorca, is a region of rolling hills, wide fields and villages full of tradition. Here almond trees, vineyards and windmills predominate, forming a typically Mallorcan landscape. Towns such as Sineu, Santa Maria del Camí, Algaida or Petra preserve quiet squares, weekly markets and a stone architecture that reflects the history of the island. The area is ideal for those seeking an authentic rural environment, with easy access to all of Mallorca thanks to its strategic location. Both Palma and the beaches of the north and south are less than 30 minutes away by car, allowing you to enjoy the calm of the countryside without giving up the convenience of having all services nearby.
